Siannah is Running for the El Camino College Board of Trustees

I love our home in Redondo Beach and am a graduate of El Camino College, USC, and Southwestern Law School.  My husband is a Firefighter/Paramedic and we have one daughter who attends American Martyrs School in Manhattan Beach.  I am proud to have previously served on the Governing Board as the elected Student Trustee and look forward to making our voices heard.   I am ready to advocate for our community and the institution that has given so much to my family.  Born in Los Angeles to immigrants from Panama, El Camino fostered my career with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office and my current personal injury practice in Hermosa Beach.

I am proud to champion:

  • Increased oversight to achieve accountability to the public for expenditure of the remaining bond funds.
  • Top quality programs for vocational students and transfer path students.
  • Innovative job training for technology related employment opportunities consistent with the needs of surrounding businesses.
  • Attracting and retaining the best instructors by providing competitive salary and benefits.
  • Increasing development of community education programs and partnerships with local businesses.
  • Conducting a nationwide search employing professional recruiters to find the most qualified candidates for superintendent-president.

“I wholeheartedly endorse Siannah Collado’s candidacy for trustee of the El Camino Community College Board of Trustees (seat #3). I have known her for 20 years and can vouch for her integrity, incredible skills, and commitment to any endeavor she chooses to undertake. The residents of Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach, and El Segundo would be blessed to have Siannah as their representative trustee.

Hon. Steve Cooley
